By booking Studio and/or equipment hire with us you automatically agree to these terms and conditions.

 

1. Booking

    1.1. All bookings with Grey Shutter LLP are to be confirmed in writing via email.

    1.2. A 50% deposit is required to confirm any booking.

    1.3. A booking is only considered confirmed when the 50% deposit has been paid unless agreed in writing with Grey Shutter LLP.

    1.4. Bookings can be for a full day, 09.00h until 18.00h, or a half day which is one of either 09.00h ­ 13.00h or 14.00 ­ 18.00h.

    1.5. Any booking which runs outside of these time slots will be subject to an overtime fee.

    1.6. Evening bookings can be arranged with Grey Shutter LLP, but must be done in writing and will be subject to Grey Shutter LLPs discretion.

 

2. Cancellation

    2.1. Cancelling 5 or more working days prior to the start time of the booking, the booking deposit will be returned to the client in full.

    2.2. Cancelling within 5 working days prior to the start time of the booking, the booking deposit will be retained and is non refundable.

    2.3. Cancelling within 48 hours prior to the start time of the booking the client will be liable for 75% of the booking fee. The booking deposit will be retained and an invoice issued for the outstanding 25%.

    2.4. Cancelling within 24 hours prior to the start time of the booking or failing to show up for a booking the client will be liable for 100% of the booking fee. The booking deposit will be retained and an invoice issued for the outstanding 50%.

 

3. Payment

    3.1. Payment is to be made by bank transfer unless agreed in writing with Grey Shutter LLP.

    3.2. Unless a client has an authorised account with Grey Shutter LLP, the remainder of the booking fee will be paid before or on the day of the booking.

 

4. Overtime

    4.1. Overtime is charged at half hour intervals at Grey Shutter LLP’s current overtime rate.

    4.2. Hirers must ensure their booking includes set up and take down time in order to avoid overtime charges.

 

5. Waste / Rubbish / Looking after the Studio

    5.1. The Studio should be left as it was found. If this means the Studio cannot be used until it is cleaned, the lost hours will be chargeable to the client in full.

 

6. Sets and Props

    6.1. All props are to be delivered and collected on the same day of hire unless previously agreed in writing by Grey Shutter LLP. Grey Shutter LLP will dispose any props or sets not collected on the day unless special conditions have been previously agreed Grey Shutter LLP.

    6.2. Any additional costs incurred through the disposal, storage or transportation of any props or sets will be charged to the client.

 

7. Damage

    7.1. The client hiring the Studio is responsible for all breakages, losses or damages caused to the Studio or equipment by him/her, or any other person, during the use of the Studio.

    7.1.1. Any marks, spillages or damage caused to the Studio during the hire period must be attended to before the end of the hire period, failing which the Studio reserves the right to charge for the cost of repair/remedial work including if necessary, a full repaint.

    7.2. No alterations, decorations or additions to the Studio are permitted without the written consent of Grey Shutter LLP.

    7.3. The client must notify Grey Shutter LLP at the time of supply if the condition of the equipment is not acceptable

 

8. Discounts / Non commercial use

    8.1. “Commercial” is any use of the Studio that is for the financial benefit of the photographer or company using it. Grey Shutter LLP reserves the right to exclude “Commercial use” from any discounts or offers made.

 

9. Parking

    9.1. Grey Shutter LLP has a limited number of parking spaces and cannot guarantee the availability of spaces for any specific time or day. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that adequate parking/ transport arrangements are made in respect of any personnel involved during the hire period.

    9.2. Any parking at the Studio is at the user’s own risk and the Studio accepts no responsibility for theft, damage or any other loss occasioned to vehicles parked on its premises.

 

10. Exclusions of Liability

    10.1. Grey Shutter LLP shall not be liable to the client for any loss damage expense liability or for any consequential loss (including loss of profit) whatsoever or howsoever arising out of or in connection with any of the following:

        10.1.1. any damage to or loss of property by the client or the clients servants or agents or any third party.

        10.1.2. any breakdown stoppage or failure of the facilities and Equipment provided in the Studio or any other Equipment supplied to the client by Grey Shutter LLP. 10.1.3. any death or injury occasioned to any client or servant or agent of any client occasioned by the use of the Studio or any Equipment unless such death or injury is directly attributable to the negligence of Grey Shutter LLP or the servants or agents of Grey Shutter LLP.

        10.1.4. for any fines and/or legal costs incurred by Grey Shutter LLP or the client for any activity connected with the hire of the Studio or Equipment.

        10.1.5. any failure on the part of Grey Shutter LLP to comply with its obligations to the client due to any circumstances beyond the control of Grey Shutter LLP.
        10.1.6. Whilst the Studio will take all reasonable steps to ensure continuity of network and utility services, including telephone/broadband, electricity etc, it accepts no responsibility for any failure whatsoever which is outside its control.

 

11. Indemnity

   11.1. The client shall at all times keep Grey Shutter LLP indemnified against all actions, proceedings, costs, charges, claims, expenses and demands whatsoever which may be made or brought against Grey Shutter LLP or the servants or agents of Grey Shutter LLP by any third party in respect of any alleged injury loss damage or expense arising out of or in connection with the use of the Studio or Equipment or services supplied by Grey Shutter LLP even where such injury loss damage or expense is caused wholly or in part by the negligence or breach of contract of Grey Shutter LLP its partners servants or agents save in respect of any death or personal injury caused by the negligence of Grey Shutter LLP as aforesaid.

 

12. Indemnity Insurance

   12.1. The client shall have in force throughout the Hire Period a policy of indemnity insurance effective with a reputable insurance company covering the client or the clients servants or agents against third party risks.


13. Termination

   13.1. Grey Shutter LLP may terminate any hire contract if the client shall be in breach of any of the Terms and Conditions.All the information is correct at the time of being published on the web site.

 

Grey Shutter LLP retains the right to change any information on the website without notice.
